FROM 1

/A/ </C/ ...INSUFF no relation between a and b is given

FROM 2

/b/>/c/ ... insuff no relation between a and b is given

both

/a/ </c/ </b/

depends on signs of a, b, c ... insuff

if a = -1 , c = -2 , b = -5 then a>b , but if a = 2 , c = 4 , b = 5 , then b>a

Statement 1: |a|<|C| This can not be sufficient as statement 1 does not talk about b, while we are asked to make the comparison between a and b

Statement 2
: |C|<|b| This can not be sufficient as statement 2 does not talk about a, while we are asked to make the comparison between a and b

Combining both statements :
It gives the condition : |a|<|C|<|b|
a=2, c=-4, b=-6
a=2, c=4, b=6
a=2, c=4, b=-6
The above cases satisfy the condition |a|<|C|<|b|

however, If a=2, c=-4, b=-6 ==> a>b
If a=2, c=4, b=6 ==> a<b

Combining both statements does not resolve the issue, so the correct answer is E.

Given a, b, c = Integers

Question : Is a > b?

St 1 : |a| < |c| Not Sufficient as no information about "b"

St 2 : |b| > |c| Not Sufficient as no information about "a"

Combining I & II we get |b| > |c| > |a|

Take b = - 3 , c = 2, a = 1

Take b = 3, c = 2, a = - 1
