NC + NP = 60

statement 1 : MC=NC=x
x+MP=50
x+NP=60
--------
NP-MP=10
tells nothing about the value MC. Not Suff

statement 2 : NP-MP=10
same as statement 1. Not Suff

MC + MP = 50 ---> eqn. 1
NC + NP = 60 ---> eqn.2

1) NC = MC insuff alone
2) NP = 10 + MP, insuff alone

eqn 2 above becomes
MC + 10 + MP = 60

MC + MP = 50...which is same equation as 1)

Thus insuff.
