IF [x] denotes the greatest integer less than of equal to x, is [x]=0?

1) 5x+1=3+2x
2)0<x<1

I can't find a clear idea to solve it. It is clear from 1) that 2/3 the greatest value for x so no need for 2). What made it more unclear is that the right answer is D (which is 1 and 2 combined).

Any help is really appreciated.

D means 1 OR 2. In other words, each condition along is sufficient.
Actually, [x] represents integer part of any real number. So second condition means x e {0.000 .... 0.999}. the integer part can be only 0.
