Since g(x) =$$2x^2$$+ 17

Given x=12 as we are asked the value of g(12)

g(12) = $$2*12^2$$+ 17
= 2*144 + 17
=305(Option E)

We are given that g(x) = 2x^2 + 17 and need to determine g(12).

g(12) = 2(12^2) + 1 = 2(144) + 17 = 288 + 17 = 305

In this question, if we multiply 12 by 12, then we get even unit digit. Then, if we multiply this even unit digit by 2, then we still get even unit digit. And finally, if we add 7 (even+odd 7=odd) from 17 then we get odd unit digit.

So, we can cross out the following option easily.
(A) 12
(B) 17
(C) 100
(D) 288
(E) 305
