Your explanation is fine, but when second statement is sufficient to answer the question, and not first, then we mark the answer as B.

I) √k <16

√225<16 but 225 is not divisible by 16
√240 <16 but 240 is divisible by 16

Insufficient

II) within 224<k<256

Only 240 is divisible by 16 so
K/16=15
Unique value
Sufficient
