OA: D
m = $$4-(4-x)^2$$
m will have the greatest possible value, when the value of $$(4-x)^2$$ is least .
As $$(4-x)^2≥0$$, so least value of $$(4-x)^2$$ is $$0$$.
Greatest possible value of m $$= 4- 0 =4$$

Greatest value of expression is possible when (4-x)^2 is minimum. Minimum possible value is 0 when x=4

So greatest value of the expression is 4-0=4

To find the greatest value of m, we need to find the value of x that makes (4 - x)^2 the smallest value since it’s subtracted from 4. Since the smallest value of any square is 0, we see that x must be 4. So, we have:

m = 4 - (4 - 4)^2 = 4 - 0 = 4

Answer: D

m has 2 parts .

1. 4

2. (4 - x)^2

we have to deduct (4 - x)^2 from 4. Note 1 thing that regardless of the value of x (4 -x)^2 will always be positive. Then we deduct it from 4. another point is that we are looking for greatest value of m. So, we mustn't take any value that gives us negative m. plug values for x. Only value x=4 gives us greatest value of m. In other cases , m is negative. So, x is 4. and m is 4 too.

The best answer is D .
