If m/7 is an integer, then each of the following must be an integer EXCEPT

A. (m - 28)/7
B. (m + 21)/7
C. 14m/98
D. (m^2 - 49)/49
E. (m + 14)/14

If we take m as 28, and put in the last option (m+14)/14; then (28+14)/14 =3, which is an integer. Please tell me where I am going wrong here?

E is the correct answer. What's your doubt exactly here?

I am getting an integer 3 when I am putting m as 28 in the last option.
How is E the correct answer then? E should not give an integer value, right?

m=28,
putting the value in the last option
(28+14)/14 = 42/14 = 3.
Hence, an integer.
So how is the correct answer E? We have to find something that doesn't give an integer value, right?

The question asks to find an option that is not necessarily an integer given that m/7 is an integer. Such an option is E, which is not necessarily an integer. For example, if m = 7, then (m + 14)/14 will not be an integer. All other options will result in integers no matter the value of m, of course, given that m/7 is an integer.

If m and n are divisible by a then m+n and m-n and mn are also divisble by a

All except E can be written in this format
