Given: P= R+5

(1) (P-15)= 2(R-15)
P-15= 2R-30
2R= P+15
2R= R+5+15 (Put P= R+5)
R= 20 [Suff]

(2) (P-5)+(R-5)= 35
P+R-10= 35
P+R= 45
2R+5= 45 (Put P= R+5)
2R= 40; R= 20 [Suff]

Answer: D.
