IMO A.

1) Tells us both is equidistant from 0. From question we know s and t are different points, so one point will be -ve and the other will be +ve, so their sum will be 0.

2) Tells us 0 is between s and t but does not tells us if 0 is equidistant from s and t or not. For example s to 0 is -.4 and 0 to t is +0.5. Statement 2 is satisfied however s+t = not zero.

Good Catch there! At first I thought 2) is saying that 0 is in the middle of s and t.

agree with A

Just a suggestion, whenever possible try to negate one statement in the other statement. This can give you a good counter example for the other statement.

E.g Is 7! divisible by x?
1) 0<=x<=7
2).x is integer

In this scenario make that in case of statement 1 x is some fractional value (negation of statement 2). This way you can get a -ve case very easily.

i think hte ans shhould be C. Becasuse statement 1 says OS= Ot. It is possible that s and t both on the same side. Hence we should consider the statement 2 and hence ans is C.

nope question says s and t are different points. If you reasoning is correct, then s and t will be same point.
