The conditional "If" to begin the statement indicates that the actress has not yet won the award, so identify this as a sentence testing verb tenses and immediately eliminate any answer choice that uses a past tense or present tense verb. So, eliminate:

(A) ...is joining...
(B) ...have joined...
(C) ...has been joining...
(E) ...joined...

The correct answer, which should be identified in this one step, is:

(D) she will join a short list of performers
