In a parallelogram,opposite angles are equal and adjacent angles are supplementary

Hence 2y=x
y=x/2
Option A is the ans

I understand that but 2x+y = 180 and then we get option E...

• Opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal in measure.
• Consecutive angles are supplementary, add to 180°.

According to the first property x=2y --> y=x/2.

Answer: A.

As for your other question: it's not correct.

@fozzy just for clearity...
opposite angles of a cyclic (contained in a circle ) quadrilateral sum up to 180.
A parallelogram drawn inside a circle becomes rectangle.
