If the sum of four consecutive even integers is 340, then the average of the two larger integers is

A. 83
B. 85
C. 86
D. 87
E. 88

x+x+2+x+4+x+6= 340
4x+12= 340
x= 82

avg of two large integers = 86+88/2 = 87
