1 cubic centimeter = 0.01 meter * 0.01 meter * 0.01 meter = 0.000001 cubic meters

4,750 cubic centimeters = 4,750*0.000001 = 0.00475 cubic meters.

Answer: A.

Tricky question – forces you to stay sharp and understand the specifics of the question.

Step 1: Understand first that if 1 centimeter = 0.01 meter. Then 1 cubic centimeter = 0.01^3 meters.
Step 2: This changes the conversion unit from 1 centimeter = 0.01 meter to 1 cm^3 = 0.01^3
Step 3: Set-up the conversion table accordingly: 0.000001M / 1 CM^3
Step 4: 4,750 * 0.000001 / 1 = 0.00475.
We can therefore conclude that it’s answer choice A.

To not get mixed up, I think it's simpler to write in terms of negative exponents:

1 cm = 1 m * 10^-2
(1 cm)^3 = (1 m * 10^-2)^3
cm^3 = 10^-6 m^3

4750 * 10^-6 m^3 = .00475
