Using the two points already given, you can find the equation of the line which is x + 2y = 6. Substituting, the value of x to be 4, we can get the y-coordinate 1. Hence , B is the solution

Just find the slope of the two points

y2-y2/x2-x1
0-3 / 6-0= -3/6 ( it doesn't matter which order- if you do 3-0/0-6 you would get the same slope)

y=-1/2x + 3 (we are given the x value so just plug in)

Let the equation of line be y = mx +c
Slope of line m = (3-0)/(0-6) = -1/2
eq: y = (-1/2)x + c
SInce 0,3 lies on this line. So, 3 = c
eq: y = (-1/2)x + 3

Now to find the coordinates of point E, x = 4
y = (-1/2) * 4 +3 = 1

This can be easily answered without the use of any calculation.The midpoint of the given line is (3,1.5).Since the x co-ord is 4 any value >= 1.5 is out.
Since y cant be negative the only other option is b.

Based on the two points on the line (0,3) and (6,0) we can find the equation of the line.

Y intercept $$= 3$$

Slope $$= -\frac{1}{2}$$

Equation: $$y = mx + c$$

$$y = -\frac{1}{2} * 4 + 3$$

$$y = -2 + 3$$

$$y = 1$$

Answer is B

It doesnt need any calculation for this question. From the diagram we can see that for every unit increase in X, Y decreases by 0.5 units.

When X is 0, Y is 3,
When X is 1, Y is 2.5,
When X is 2, Y is 2,
When X is 3, Y is 1.5,
When X is 4, Y is 1, < - which is our answer.
When X is 5, Y is 0.5,
When X is 6, Y is 0

This question can also be solved using ratio
Suppose E divides the given line in X:Y ratio then x coordinate is given by 4=(x*6=y*0)/(x+y)
6x=4x+4y
x/y =2 now we have to find y=(2*0+1*3)\(2+1)=1
hence b

The Simplest way is to make the line Equation -
y=-1/2x+3
Now Substituing value, answer will be 1
