Given X^2 = X+1
X^3 = X*X^2 = x*(X+1)-- Substituted from above.
= X^2 + X = X+1+X = 2X+1.

Hence C.

if we put x=0 then only we get x^2=x+1 so the option c satisfies it and x^3=2x+1

x^2=x+1
Multiplying x both side -

x^3=x^2+x
Or,x^3=x+1+x
Or,x^3= 2x+1(Ans)

why x^3 either x^2 + x or x + 1 + x ?

Can you explain that please, question seems super easy but I am missing something.
