Simplifying the equation x + 3y − 3 = 2y − 3x we get ,

4x + y =3

4x = 3 - y

x = (3 - y)/2 ------ (1)

Consider statement A : y^2 = 25

We get two solutions for this y= +5 , -5

Therefore we will get two different values for x when substituting in eq (1). Statement A insufficient.

Consider statement B : y = 5

We get a definite answer when substituting in eq (1).

Statement B is sufficient.

Therefore option B is the answer.
