Asked: If x and y are integers, what is the value of xy ?

(1) ((x - 1)(y - 1))! = 2
(x,y) = {(3,2),(2,3),(-1,0),(0,-1)}
xy ={6,0}
NOT SUFFICIENT

(2) x < 0
Since value of y is unknown
NOT SUFFCIENT

(1) + (2)
(1) ((x - 1)(y - 1))! = 2
(2) x < 0
(x,y) = (-1,0)
xy = 0
SUFFICIENT

From 1; To valid : x=3 and y=2 it would be valid also xy=6 and at x= 0, y=-1, xy =-1 again it would be valid so in suffcient

From 2 , no y given in sufficient

From 1 & 2 we can say that x= -1 and y =0 , sufficient...
xy= -1 IMO C

1: x= 2 ; y =3 or x=3; y =2
2: x<0
combining:(x=0; y = -1 )NA or (y = 0 ; x = -1)
Hence (y = 0 ; x = -1)
