IF x and y are positive is x^3>y?

1) squareroot of x > y
2) x>y

Arrived at the answer by plugging numbers. Im looking for a mathematical solution though. Thanks

Don't know any mathematical solution. I also plugged in numbers and found the answer as E.
For both statements
x = 1/4 y = 1/5 x^3 is less than y
x = 9, y = 2 x^3 is greater than y
