No info about what x is.

(Statement2): xy is positive
—> In order xy to be positive, both x and y must be positive or negative at the same time.

If x and y are positive, then $$\frac{x}{y}$$ will be positive (NO)
If x and y are negative, then $$\frac{x}{y}$$ will be positive. (No)
Sufficient
