\(\sqrt{x} = 3\)

So, \(x = 9\)

And, \(x^2 = 81\), Answer must be (E)

\(x^\frac{1}{2}\) = 3

Square both sides.

\(x^(\frac{1}{2})(2)\) = \(3^2\)

x = 9

\(x^2\) = \(9^2\)

\(x^2\) = 81
