Hello,
I would like to discuss the importance of error logging and tracking for your GMAT preparation. I have been using the Target Test Program and it has a fantastic error tracker built into its dashboard that has really helped me log, track and rectify my mistakes during the GMAT preparation.
I believe error logging is a great way to analyze your performance on practice questions/exams. You can either create your own spreadsheet to log and track the mistakes you make as you go through your GMAT prep or even use a personalized, well developed error tracker that comes with a legit GMAT online prep course such as
TTP. I have been using the in-built
TTP error tracker which is smartly developed to help me record and track my errors as I go through the online prep course. It records my errors in practice questions as I complete the missions/practice tests and logs the reasons I give for not being able to answer the question correctly. Therefore, creating an efficient error tracker for myself to go to when I need to go back and evaluate my performance afterwards. The error tracking exercise helps me look at what type of mistakes I have been making, what type of questions I am not so good at, and the reasons for the mistakes I have been making on solving questions. Essentially, an
Error Log/Tracker isn't just a tracking device, it is a way to streamline one’s preparation and optimize the study time as it helps to answer what one could do better to minimize errors and improve performance next time.
Thus, a key take-away here would be to use the error tracker as precisely as possible throughout your preparation so that you can get maximum benefit out of it and improve overall performance on the GMAT.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
