If 50th and 51st students score 50 that means 49 students score greater than 50. As per statement 1, No. of students who score between >50 and <75 is equal to No. of students who score greater than 75.
So this cannot be the case as number of students needs to be even to be able to be split equally between both.
I think it is E because statement A does not take into consideration the number of students who have marks equal to 75. Your case becomes valid in this scenario that some students might have marks equal to 75.
Would the answer be C if we had count of students who had marks equal to 75 in statement A ?
