Boksana, can u explain your choice for D. Bhai C and D are both correct. Can anybody explain me why A is not correct.

misplaced modifier
(A) modifies later generation, instead of the library
(B) the destroying of the largest library of the ancient world at Alexandria resulted and

the same error as in A

(C) because of the destruction of the library at Alexandria, the largest of the ancient world,
?
(D) as a result of the destruction of the library at Alexandria, the largest of the ancient world,

sounds much better than C

(E) Alexandria's largest library of the ancient world was destroyed, and the result was

obviously wrong
