It is between B and E... I choose B...

D cannot be the answer bcos even if varying, it will still be +ve tip and will elp to inc their income...

As far as E, the argument says " Tips on these bills were an average of three percentage points higher than tips on bills without the message.", but E exagerates it to vertually all so it's not an assuption made, to some extent it can be inferrred as contradicting what author states instead of assuming.
