Hi

The answer is c. Here is why

A. The pronoun it cannot be used to present a purpose or result of an activity. Here the sentence states that planting of a rebel resulted something and hence it is incorrect.

B. Here the idiom so as to is correct but it is not in parallel with allowing

C.Parallelism in this choice is perfect and the result is presented using an ing modifier preceeded by a comma. Hence the correct answer.

D. here the purpose of 'disguised as damsel' (to act as a distraction) is not clear since the preposition to is missing.

E. Halt is not parallel to allowing.

Thanks
