I think B and C change meaning.

several callers != callers.

Some callers may not have expressed interest.

So I go for A.

I think A is the least evil here, everything else either changes the meaning of the sentence or has awkward grammar structure.

I think A is fine.
C should have 'express' instead of 'have expressed'.

The verb should not be past tense. The ad is in today’s paper and the loft is currently available so the verb should be present tense. The correct answer is C.

Feel as though answer should be C
Referring correctly modifies callers.

"Interest in" is better than "interest about" .

Hi stne,

In reference to....., several callers - "callers are not IN reference to something" (wrong modification) - A incorrect.

callers expressed - Past tense is wrong here because callers are referring to the TODAY'S newspaper. - B incorrect.

callers frequently expressed - D incorrect for the same reason as B.

When referring to - change in meaning.

C is correct choice here.

Not very good question though. don't waste time on this one.
