With D here..........The raising or To raise.....I think raise is correct here...

"reversion to" is more idiomatic than "reversion into"

I believe that "reversion" should be followed by a noun
ie: reversion to the mean, reversion to a state of...
I think "reversion" + verb is awkward to say the least

Then Paul i think you are correct. I was not clear in understanding the meaning of "reversion"...I thought it to mean to resist fom growing staples...But now i understand what it realy means..."the raising" is a noun and "to raise" would mean a verb...
