In the given triangle,

35 + 35 + 50 + 50 + 2y = 180
y = 5

Isosceles triangle Property: If a triangle has two equal sides then the angles opposite the two sides are equal.

Since AD = BD = CD , this means ADC, DBA and DBC are all Isosceles Triangles

The angles in DBC are 50, 50,30
The angles in ADC are 35, 35, 110
The angles in ADB are y,y,180-2y

In Triangle ABC (35+50)+(35+y)+(50+y)=180
170+2y=180
2y = 10
y=5
