In the xy-plane, line k passes through the point (1,1) and line m passes
through the point (1,-1). Are lines k and m perpendicular to each other?

(1) Line k and m intersect at the point (1,-1).
(2) Line k intersects the x-axis at the point (1,0).

E

1: No additional information about line m is available (slope, another point etc) - insufficient

2: Actually this information is already provided in statement 1. Only that (1,0) in the mid point of (1,1) and (1,-1)

Combined - no information about line m.

I don't really understant what statement 1 says. I understand that line k and m intersect in one point> i know that 2 lines are parallel if they do not intersect.
