I'm not too sure if this would really strengthen the profile significantly, as INSEAD is one of the few schools that uses two alumnis to interview you, so that would give them an unbiased opinion on your candidature and perhaps a better opinion of you as a person.
The only advantage I would have felt is if you had used them for your letter of recommendation , and that too only if you have either reported to them or worked with them in the past.
Or if you think these individuals have something unique to support or write about you that will significantly strengthen you application or support what you have written in your essays.
I think the only time I may want to use the additional references is if Im waitlisted and need some more credentials to back up my application.
So you may want to keep a few cards up your sleeve, and I pray you dont need to , but in any case even if you send these now, they will be part of your file and at the most you may come across as an enthusiastic INSEAD applicant. Dont see any harm being done.
Thats just my two cents as a fellow INSEAD applicant and admit. I am no admissions specialist for INSEAD, though. I am sure some more advice here from fellow GMATCLUB members could be useful for you and future INSEAD applicants with a similiar query.

Hi guys!
I've been reading the whole thread for almost a week now, and haven't found anything concerning follow up letters from alumni friends. I mean, for instance, I know two INSEAD graduates, and I heard it would be a good practice to ask them to send some non-formal recommendation letters to the Adcom. Have you heard of this, and have your alumni friends actually sent such letters?
thanks!
