9.18x+5.17x+2.05x = 16.4x = 148 cookies

x= 148/16.4 = 9 (approx)

So, tell baked 9*2.05 cookies or 19 cookies (approx)

% share = 19/148 = 12.5 approx

Hence, answer is C.

Since all answer values are at least separated by a factor of 10, ignore the decimal in the ratios
9x+5x+2x=148
x= 148/16 =~9

Percent of Nell = \(\frac{Nell}{Total} = \frac{18}{144} = 0.125 = 12.5%\)
Answer = C

9.18+5.17+2.05=16.4

2.05/16.4 OR approx 2/16=1/8=12.5%

Total 16.40 x = 148
x = 9

Ne = 2.05
total is 16.40

so Ne share = 2.05 / 16.40 = 0.125 or 12.5 %

I just realised that that number 148 is a red herring.
Since quantities expressed as ratios either will be in simplest fractions or will inherently contains a common multiplier, there is no need to solve for the common multiplier x in this problem.

For example
\(\frac{1}{2} = 50\)% OR \(\frac{2}{4} = 50\)%

The inherent "hidden multiplier is 2 for both the numerator and denominator" \(\frac{1*2}{2*2} = \frac{2}{4}\)

therefore to find the percentage of NELL's cookie we just need to divide Nell's Number to the total number

\(\frac{2.05}{16.05}\) = 12.5%

Answer is C

9.18+5.17+2.05=16.4
2.05/16.4=.125=12.5%

We don't even need 148 to conclude.

We know that :
Ir = 9,18*K
In = 5,17*K
N = 2,05 * K

Tot = 16,40*K

So, N/Tot = 2,05/16,40 = 1/8 = 12.5%
