For X=1.On putting the value we get 2>1.

Now for X=3.On putting the value we get 6<9.

So nothing certain can be determined from option 1.

Now from statement 2, x is the Odd prime integer starts from 3,5,7....and so on

This 2x> x^2 is false for all odd prime integer greater than 3.
Hence B.

Is 2x > x^2?


(1) 0≤ x^2 ≤ 9
let x = 1/2
2x = 1
x^2 = 1/4
2x > x^2

let x=3
2x=6
x^2=9
2x< x^2

Two contrasting scenarios.
Not sufficient.

(2) x is an odd prime integer.
Lowest odd prime no = 3
2x = 6
x^2 = 9
x^2 > 2x

Same goes for other odd primes
Sufficient.

or is x = (0, 2)


Statement (1) \(0 ≤ x^2 ≤ 9\)

x can b 1
x can be -1

Not sufficient

Statement (2) x is an odd prime integer.
x can be b/w (0, 2 ) Sufficient

(B) is the answer

How 2x> x^2 ?? when x=3, 5......odd prime integer, 6>9 or 10>25 ??? , look its 2x> x^2 not x^2>2x . So how B is correct..?

Answer: B

Is 2x > x^2?

i.e. x^2 - 2x < 0
i.e. x(x-2) <0
i.e. 0<x<2 ?

(1) 0≤x^2≤9
=> -3 < x < 3
Therefore x can be between 0 and 2 or outside of this range.
Hence, insufficient.

(2) x is an odd prime integer.
=> x >= 3
i.e. to answer 0<x<2 ? we get No.
Hence, sufficient.

It will be always false, so answer can be determined from statement 2 alone. Hence B. *Edited the answer thanks for pointing out.
