Is GMAT course right for me? [#permalink]

Guys,

I need an advise whether I should take a GMAT course. I have set an ambitious target of 700.

When I took the actual Gmat last time, I scored 520 (Q45, V17). My next GMAT date is November 23rd. I am working full time (40 hours) and has been preparing about 15 hours a week for the last four months. When I took a GMAT Prep exam today, I scored 580 (Q45, V25). I guess, I haven't improved much.

So far, I have completed OG 12 and Manhattan guides. I have approximately two more months to go during which I can only work for 20hrs/ week.

Do you guys think I will improve my score if I take a course? or Is it too late to take a course for the November test? If it is not too late, which course do you suggest?

Thanks guys, I appreciate all your help!

Thanks,

Are you looking for a course to take in a classroom, online, or on demand? (3 different types and 3 diff price points). Anything specific limiting you? (dates, price, etc?).

Looking at your score, your main emphasis should be verbal since your Q is already at 45, so you need to pull that part up just a bit but mostly focus on Verbal.

Classroom will not work for me as I live 1 hour away from Philly. Online or on demand will work. Only thing that is limiting me is I can only work for 20 hours per week. But my biggest concern is am I too late to take a course as my test date is on 23rd November. If it is not , which course will help me to improve my verbal score?

Every provider offers online or on-demand courses.
You can find them all here: http://gmatclub.com/gmat-course-finder/
You may also want to look at these: gmat-prep-course-class-reviews-ratings-discount-codes-78451.html?fl=menu

However, my recommendation would be to take an on-demand class or something that would allow you to fast forward to Verbal (without having to wait a long time and invest your time there instead of quant).

As to the best course - there is no best course as there are various factors in the play - something that works for me, may not work for you.

A few ideas:
1. Kaplan - they have a wire variety of courses and probably the most established.
2. MGMAT - if you have used their books you may want to pick a different course. If you have not, it is a great one.
3. Knewton - they have a great offer @ \$350 for their full online course and offer money back unless you improve 50 points
4. Revolution Prep offers a great hybrid course (it is very new) but the cool part is that you can study on your own and mix and match some tutoring sessions and basically have the support of a tutor without a tutor bill. They have a 3 day trial.
5. GMAT Pill has a Verbal Only Course that is very reasonably priced and a number of people liked it
6. Veritas Prep has a selection of on-demand classes that are strong as well judging by their books.
