Is n an integer?

(1) For \(\frac{n}{3}\) to be an integer \(n\) must be an integer --> \(\frac{n}{3}=integer\) --> \(n=3*integer=integer\). Sufficient.

(2) \(2n\) is an integer --> \(n\) may or may not be an integer, for instance \(n=0.5\) or \(n=1\). Not sufficient.

Answer: A.
