If the shorter side of rectangle is 2 then longer side will be >2
Diagonal =sqrt (4+ (>4)) which is > sqrt(6)
Sufficient

Statement (2)
If the longer side of rectangle is 3 then shorter side will be <3
Diagonal =sqrt (9 + (<9)) which is greater than sqrt(6)
Sufficient

1: 2^2+2^2 (U wanna test the extreme so just say 2^2 for the longer side, it could be 2.000000000000000000000000000000000000000001^2)

8=c^2 So sqrt 8 is greater than sqrt6 Suff.

2: Just use 3^2 b/c shorter side could be .00000000000000000000001

sqrt9>sqrt 6.
