Expert Reply
Addition and subtraction follow the same even/odd rules (because adding is the same thing as subtracting -- when you subtract, it's the same thing as adding a negative number). So any time a and b are integers and a-b is odd, a+b will also be odd, and Statement 1 is sufficient. Statement 2 is clearly sufficient, so the answer is D.

Odd +/- Odd = even
Even +/- Even = even
Even +/- Odd = Odd

We are told
Stat.(1) A- b = odd, therefore as per the 3rd scenario above A+b must be even
Sufficient

Stat.(2) describes scenario 3 above

Why we are not considering Negative integers in this question ?

Even if you do try negative numbers it’ll produce the same effect.

Negative numbers follow the same even/odd rules as positive numbers. There's never any reason, in an even/odd question, to consider negative numbers separately, since you won't learn anything from them that you don't already learn just by looking at positive numbers.
