Is \(x\geq{0}\)?

(1) x^2 = 9x --> \(x(x-9)=0\) --> either \(x=0\) or \(x=9\), in any case the answer to the question "is \(x\geq{0}\)?" will be YES. Sufficient.

(2) x = - |x| --> \(x\) can be zero (as \(0=-|0|\)) and in this case answer will be YES or \(x\) can be any negative number (for example -1, as \(-1=-|-1|\)) and the answer will be NO. Not sufficient.

Answer: A.

Hope it's clear.

I have doubt related to 2nd statement...
we can easily say that x<=0 therefore answer to statement is x>=0 is No
statement is sufficient
answer should be D

what is wrong in this logic??
