Hi, I'm terribly sorry, the 2nd part should be lx-3l NOT EQUAL to 0, so re-pasting question
Is lxl < 1?

1) lx + 1l = 2 lx-1l
2) lx-3l NOT EQUAL to 0

Is |x| < 1?

(1) |x + 1| = 2|x - 1|
(2) |x - 3| ≠ 0
