B.

Question:
Is x-y+1>x+y-1

if x-y+1>x+y-1
x-y+1 -(x+y-1) > 0 or
-2y > -2
dividing by -2
y < 1

B just says y < 0, so it will obviously be < 1

Question:
Is x-y+1>x+y-1

if x-y+1>x+y-1
x-y+1 -(x+y-1) > 0 or
-2y > -2
dividing by -2
y < 1

B just says y < 0, so it will obviously be <1> x + negative # -1

for statement one if y =0

x+1>x-1
y=2
x-1<x+1

x-y+1 > x+y-1 ?
2 > 2y?
1 > y ?

The question is really asking if y is less than 1.

St1: Useless.
St2: y is less than 0, so it must be less than 1.
