We need information about both x and y, so the answer must be C or E. But even using both Statements, we don't have enough information. It might be true that x = 1,000,000 and y = 10, in which case x - y > 5. But it might be true that x = 10 and y = 1,000,000, in which case x - y is very negative, so x - y < 5. So the answer is E.
