(2) 7 > x > y > 0

Is xy < 5 ?

(1) x is prime and y is the reciprocal of a prime --> easy to get No and Yes answer for this statement: if x=11 and y=1/2 then the answer will be NO but if x=5 and y=1/2 then the answer will be YES, hence this statement is not sufficient.

(2) 7 > x > y > 0 --> again it's easy to get No and Yes answer for this statement: if x=6 and y=5 then the answer will be NO but if x=2 and y=1 then the answer will be YES, hence this statement is not sufficient.

(1)+(2) Max value of x is 5 (greatest prime less than 7) and the max value of y is 1/2 (the least prime is 2 thus the greatest reciprocal of a prime is 1/2) thus max value of xy is 5*1/2=5/2<5. Sufficient.
