Is xy + xz = 0?

(1) x = 0
(2) y + z = 0

Statement 1: x=0
The statement is sufficient to answer the question because any number multiplied by 0 is always a 0. AD/BCE

Statement 2: y+z=0
xy +xz = 0?
Factor out X => x(y+z)
Since y+x=0, the result will be always 0.
Sufficient AD/BCE
