It's weird. Not too long ago, all of you guys/gals were freaking about acceptances and dings. In a few weeks, you guys will be well oiled bschool student-machines schmoozing with the big wigs for summer internships.

In a few weeks, I'll be starting (more specifically, delving deeply into apps) my bschool apps and will be going nuts waiting on decisions. I always thought all of you class of 09 were silly with the entire waiting process. But thinking ahead, I can feel my heart racing just imagining the waiting process.

Playing golf everyday, watching movies on HD and generally avoiding anything that makes me work. I am already settled in Durham. Enjoying the last few weeks before things go crazy again. Duke has sent us a ton of pre-term stuff to do. But for now, it is gathering dust. I interviewed with a top CPG company to attend their marketing summer camp and got selected. I will be spending a week at their headquarters at the end of this month.

I have shin splints and spent today queuing up for five hours on the pavement outside an embassy.

Preparing for selling our house - mostly on target.

Getting ready to pack.

Getting ready for a huge party at my place on Saturday -- you're all invited!

Busting my butt to get my work stuff squared away. I am a one-woman show, so I have to write out EVERYTHING I do, as they have yet to even open the search for my replacement. Hosers.

Squaring away our mortage - closing on a new place in Durham on July 25.

Avoiding the giant pile of to-do's that Duke sent me....maybe it will go away.

Funny thing. I planned on reviewing acctg/stats/econ so I would be well prepared for the core classes. I have done NOTHING! I am pretty much livin it up right now. In 2 weeks I will be done with work and moving into my apt in south bend, IN. 4 weeks (Aug 13th), orientation begins.

Now- working, packing, cancelling contracts and accounts.

In two weeks I'll still be working and canceling more contracts.

In five weeks I'll be resettling in the PacNW and throwing the pigskin at a few local BBQs with friends and classmates while sipping a few frosties before all hell breaks loose.

In ten weeks I'll be a full time MBA student. Honestly, it's a weird feeling; mainly excitement mixed with subtle flashes of intimidation.

First, 1 week at a Spa to relax and catch up with summer reading and prep. Then 1 week skiing. During that time I need to figure out how to sell some stuff, return my apartment and some other things.

Right now, tackling all this pre-term crap Rice has sent me, bar tending and drinking (mostly at the same time!)

Off to Vegas in two weeks for a week, get back and immediately move to Houston.

5 Weeks, Pre-term starts! Seems like yesterday I was drafting my essays for application season
