On the various applications they ask for specific dates and salaries for each job I have held since graduation.
While I have pretty good records (e.g. job offer letters) for most of my jobs, I cannot remember my exact salary to the dollar for my older jobs, nor can I remember the exact dates when I started and ended. I have a very good ballpark, but the exact figures elude me.
Can you check your tax returns for the amount? Your W2 should show it. If you can't remember exact figures for really old jobs, just put your best guess. If your not sure, put the lower number.
My question is - How specific are they looking? Does it matter if, for example, you started on June 13th, but I say June 1st? Or if I made $39,000 to start instead of $40,000?
First of all you can just write "June 1999"; you don't have to give the date. If you are one thousand dollars off on a job from a long time ago, nobody is going to make a big deal about it. If you are $10000 off, that would be surprising.
Just wondering. Thanks.
Good luck!
