Hi Bunuel

THe question seems incorrect. it should not be 80% at the speed of 80. However if it's 20% at the speed of 80, Answer comes out 55.

The question is correct. Here's the explanation:

Let distance be D. We can find the total time & equate it, which comes as:
0.8D / 80 + 0.2D / v = D / 60 => v = 30 (Option A).

Lets take Total Distance as 100 miles.

First Lap => 80 miles at 80 mph => Time = 1 hour

Second Lap => 20 miles at v mph => Time = $$\frac{20}{v}$$

Avg Speed = $$\frac{Total Distance}{Total Time}$$

60 = $$\frac{100}{1+20/v}$$

v= 30 mph.
