Folks,
I took GMAT a few days ago, got a good score and am quite happy about it.
I have seen others' responses here - I don't really have anything unique to add. But, here is the purpose of writing this note though:
The probability/combinations/permutations questions on this site is a real piece of work. I went through them (the first 10 pages or so) 2 days before the test and it came in quite handy - I am very, very thankful to the people who shared it! I am sure I would have screwed up a couple of questions otherwise.
After looking at the verbal questions in
the Official guide, I have no alternative but to feel I got lucky on the test day
. The questions I got were far easier than what the
OG has (anyone remember the "sloths hanging by their rubbery fingers".. or the "interwoven filigree..." questions? - I didn't get any such ones!).
The other thing I wanted to point out - the GMAT prep books - I had read some Kaplan and PrincetonReview - are a real waste of time. For verbal, if one masters
OG, that is it - one can take GMAT half asleep!
In both sections, I was squeezed for time in the middle - but finished both almost 8 to 10 minutes ahead of schedule. So, there must be some sort of disorientation between the ETS software spitting out the questions and how I perceive questions as hard or easy - I really didn't figure what exactly happened.
Last - I know there are way too many grammatical mistakes in this little message, but who cares? GMAT is over
Good luck.
