Hi
I need some advise here. 2 months earlier I had taken the PowerPrep as a practice and got 520. Having got bogged down, I prepared with the Kaplans and Cliffs (Sentence Correction) and recently took a Kaplan GMAT Test and got 610.
I am not sure on how to judge my improvement.
I am planning to one Kaplan test per week.

Weak areas suggested by Kaplan - Reading Comprehension & Data Sufficiency. I got some tips from this site and other books to improve on Data Sufficiency. However, the problem was Reading Comprehension.

My questions are on the "stratergy henceforth"
1. Are there any workouts, books only for the Reading Comprehension.
or is it better for me to go ahead to taking practice tests from Princeton,etc...
2. I have not started with OG yet and I want to do it as early as possible.
As far the preparation time is concerned, I fear that I should not get tired of doing the whole excercise.

Basically I am not sure of the road ahead and I thought since some of you guys know better than I do.

I had some difficulty with Probability and I just have a suggestion if its useful. - I used the Delta Course online material for probability. It isnt worth the money but definitely its focus on probability is better and is a more than enough practice for probability.

Thanks
iceman

You registered back in December!

You are probably one of the oldest folks around
(Try our premium section in the Forum for some more exercises - you now have access).

As to 610 on Kaplan. I would say it is 680 on the GMAT - don't sue me if you get less or more, but that's my general feeling. Sounds like a very good inprovement.

As to RC, there are a few books on AMazon, but all of them have horrendous ratings and 1 star - your best shot is just going over RC passages and reviwing Kaplan's Verbal Workbook now and then.

IN addition you have OG - so you can practice there a lot, but you should take PP before you do that. I guess you know that yourself.

Probably the most important part in OG is CR since GMAT's CR is different from Kaplan's and PR's

Thanks for the probability tip - how much is it by the way?

Yeah, its a long time since I am forcing myself to prepare for GMAT whenever I get time.
I use gmatclub as one of my personal tutor. No words to appreciate your good job here.

The delta course online is 20\$ for access for 6 months.
The site : http://www.deltacourse.com

As you said, Let me plan to take PP. But I would like to check out Princeton tests before my last chance in PP. Actually I was interested in getting Verbal workout by Princeton for additional practice. But the book dosent come with the CD. If I buy both of them, I probably think it will too much for me atleast for now .... I would like to one at a time
which one is the best bet among the following ?? suggest ??

1. Cracking the Gmat 2003 (Cracking the Gmat With Sample Tests on Cd-Rom)
2. Verbal Workout for the GMAT (The Princeton Review)

thanks again

For sure #1.

Verbal is small (150 pages of yuky paper) and CR is strange!

I'd go for the tests and the general book without thinking.

I think Cracking GMAT 2003 is bettter, because I have two books to prepare GMAT.
After using those books, I find the Princeton very focus on trick and strategy in its book, yet I doubt whether this approach is effective in the process of taking actual GMAT, because I think it is too simple if Princeton
is right.
Now, I spend more time on kaplan verbal workbook and then do GMAT PLus
materials in CR and SC.
Do you think the questions of GMAT Plus stuff is great?
I find those questions is very simliar to those of Official Guide, so I think
those questions should come from retired question pool of GMAT, right??
