So has anyone heard of anyone getting a call yet (not just gmatclub members)? Still wondering if calls went out yesterday, even though no gmat club people got them...Last year a ton of people got calls on the Monday!

I think the GMAT club/Beat the GMAT user sample size is large enough that we would know for sure when calls went out... Last year many dings got released Tuesday at midnight, which also doesn't appear to have happened...

two hours :shock: that's good.. i cant hold off for even 20 minutes :x


This is the advantage of being on the other side of earth. During most of my workday I know the forum (and the adcom) are asleep.
On the other hand- checking my cell and inbox every hour during sleep time is not much better :-D

At this point I really can't decide if I'm happier knowing nobody has gotten a call or if I'd rather calls had started (which means I haven't gotten one yet, but others have). Either case is totally nail-biting.

In the chat, someone said the following:

"I went to an on-campus interview session at Kellogg and they said decisions will be out on the deadline this year."

Can anyone else confirm this or has anyone else contacted to admissions office to verify?

The wait is excruciating. But in all fairness, the stress is mostly self-imposed, as the deadline is only next Monday.

Please, please, please do not contact admissions to ask them if they will send out decisions before the deadline. They will render decisions when they render them. They've promised to do it by a specific date. If they do it before that day, GREAT! If not, then let it be.

Transparency is missing from the admissions office. A simple admissions blog, like virtually every other school has, would solve this.

The direct quote from the application status website is: "Application decisions may be released on or before the decision deadline, but the majority of decisions will be released during the last few weeks of the round." As I said before, this is misleading, if not an outright lie. I think it is slightly disrespectful to the applicants, but I suppose my opinion doesn't matter.

I agree not to call them (and haven't done so myself), but the majority of this unneeded stress is being brought on by the school itself.


Well that bold bit makes it seem like some decisions have been released as early as a month or more before the deadline, which I assume is simply false. Or were waived interviews considered to be dings? It's not an outright lie to say the majority of decisions will be released in the last few weeks of the round, even if they are all released on the deadline, since technically that's within the last few weeks of the round, but I agree that it's quite misleading.

This is the curse of the internet. As one of the people who applied to college with a written application that I had to mail in, I was waiting for my envelope in the mail, and I had NO IDEA when other people had gotten their letters. Now we have all this information about when people have been called historically, which is NO indicator of this year, as we've already noticed.

Oh, also, I'm a nervous wreck as well! Breathe and visualize serenity...or something.
