I saw a cute Kudos button on mobile and I clicked on it.

Now that I know what it does, I can't take back my kudos.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing such a good post. However just curious apart from Gmat club test does kudos give you access to certain questions as well (imp , latest and good questions ) . Read it in someone's post. Would appreciate your help.

Thanks

All questions and content on the forum is available to everyone. However, you do get access to GMAT Club tests with 25 kudos - that's the main recognition besides being appreciated and contributing to a society.

Thanks a lot for replying and clarifying .

Megha

When you give a kudo point does your kudos points get deducted?

No. By clicking Kudos button and giving someone Kudos, you actually don't lose any of yours - you give but it is not removed from your balance.

I was checking out the 'Redeem Rewards' section and by mistake clicked on the 'Trade for 1 Kudos' option and lost 10 points.

I was hoping to use my points to redeem a different reward. May i know if the 10 points i just lost can be gotten back in anyway or if i could use these points to access a different reward?

I have deleted your redemption, so you got your 10 points back.

Dear Kudos Cheaters - please please please - continue posting your complaints about the Kudos system in this discussion. I can't emphasize how important it is to us and how helpful your posts are in finding you and banning your profiles from the forum. Sometimes, however, you make it too easy for us, so a small request - please try the sneaky way around and if we don't catch you only then post your complaints here.

Ha-ha - Thanks God i give just one Kudos to this user but probably against a solution to the Quant Question.

Yes, clearly yours was the only legit one. However, everything is logged and saved and while we may not catch cheating right away, we usually catch it at a very important moment and once we do, the account gets blocked and there is no way to get it back, so all the test history, timer history, bookmarks, etc - all goes away. Cheaters beware.

Hi BB,

Great work here. I have an issue, I have only given 1/2 kudos, however, the amount of kudos I have given kept increasing. I really have no clue whats going on.

Hi bb ,

I had posted my first GMAT Debrief on 18th of May but still have not received any Kudos/Points pertaining to it as mentioned in the rewards section.

I would be glad if you can look into it and help me out at the earliest since this is the third or fourth time i am asking for it.

i didn't hear about GMAT Club Apps redemption by kudos, would you please elaborate it ?

I have made a typo in my message and corrected it as to what type of app it is. You should be able to figure out the rest.

Originally you could but it quickly became clear that people were more interested in taking them off than giving them, but a good point. Some posts definitely deserve that.

Even with 200 posts , there should be some limit of kudos, what if a person just say welcome to forum and thanks for this in every post....Some contribution is must atleast 10 kudos

I like the idea. However, I am not sure if we need to fix what I don't think is broken.

90 days is a decent deterrent.
We catch most of the junk posters as many mods review forums and catch the slick guys. not to say we don't have any junk (a conversation of its own) but usually we are able to whack it. (there is an easy admin button to delete one's all posts )

However, I do think we should overhaul the kudos system

Just like the GMAT...

The way it works is:
1. 200 posts and at least 90 days
2. 100 posts and 25 kudos (no time limit)
3. 50 Kudos (no time limit)

If you get 50 kudos in the next week (not sure how you would do it, you will get access).
However, if it is based only on posts, then there is a 90-day waiting period.

Oh... Did you recently edit the rules?

My apologizes, I could have sworn I read "50 kudos within 90 days".

Am I seeing things?

Don't think so, the rules are here: http://gmatclub.com/blog/free-gmat-test ... b-members/

Sometimes there is an assumption that 90 days applies to all of the options, but it does not.
We used NOT to have the 90-day requirement before but that lead to too much junk posts and one-liners (which we still have quite a few of those in the question forums but that's tolerable there).

Dear BB,
I am just curious about your GMAT score. How long did it take you to study GMAT to score 750? Did you get 750 for the first test? I haven't seen anybody who has higher score than yours. To get 750 on the GMAT test is like mission impossible for me.

There are plenty of people with a higher score
