Last Day Before the Exam... [#permalink]

New post 30 Sep 2007, 10:13
Well I take my exam tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who already wished me luck for my exam that I originally had scheduled on the 28th.

I changed it to tomorrow for many reasons.

Any suggestions on what I should do today? Ima try and take it easy and be as relaxed as possible.

I also want to go over strategies for the test:

I've composed a small list. Please feel free to add to it!!!

-Remain calm during the test.

-If I have too much anxiety, stop take a deep breath, relax and restart.

-If I don't understand how to approach the question in the first minute then I need to figure out another approach on how to elim. some answers and move on.

-Focus on meeting timing benchmarks, don't look at the clock every 2 seconds!!! (something I usually do)

-Attack each problem like you normally would
- the other day I took a practice verbal section and attacked CR and RC problems like I use to when I first started. I dunno what was going on, but it was like 460 GMATBlackbelt all over again. I was freakin out over time and rereading stuff not comprhending anything... just a vicious cycle.

-Stop and think what the problem really is asking me!

-After the test, regardless of what the results are, im going out to dinner!

Hope I'm not too late... best of luck once again !

keep the last minute prep light. Just a quick review will do. I spent only two hours doing a paper test and a quick review then I went to watch some TV shows before hitting the sack.

During the test, if you're stuck, just pick one answer and hit next... There was one quant question I was stuck during the test, and I couldn't even do elimination of answer choices, so I just hit one answer and go. (I said a silent prayer hoping that it's a trial question, in which case it won't be scored ..lol)

At the end when the system asks you if you want to score the test or cancel the scores. make sure you click that carefully !! You only have 10 minutes to decide =)
